Working with me is like traveling in a foreign country with a great friend. Plan to share in a fun—and at times, challenging—life changing adventure, in the safety and comfort of an ally.

During this time, we work together to establish clear goals and intentions—this way we know exactly where we are going, even when the road takes some turns.

We explore and discover our underlying patterns, such as physical body alignments and mental mindsets, so that we can gain a deeper awareness and understanding of ourselves. When we have this better understanding, then we can begin to make complete, positive, lasting changes.

We use our discoveries to create a step by step plan to move us from point A to point B, at a pace that is right for us. A variety of tools, such as physical movement and mental mindsets are included in the plan. We decide together what would work best, and implement them, not only in our sessions together, but in everyday living situations. Yes, that means there’s homework!

Along the way, we continually reassess to make sure we are having fun, feeling confident and creating results.

I Am A BEGINNER , am I able to work with you?

Absolutely! Everyone is an individual with their own unique needs. Often it is easier to enter a learning environment without any experience. In the work I do, you are exploring and discovering within yourself, physical and mentally, so there is always something to learn, whether you have an abundance of experience or none.

Do I have to do all the items listed in your package? Can I just choose the thing I want?

My style is a mixture of the variety of disciplines I have studied. This is a reason why I feel I am a great choice to learn from. I work with the intention of enhancing movement and mindset, allowing me the freedom to move freely between specific techniques to give you exactly what your body and mind needs. We won't necessarily use every single one of the disciplines during our sessions. It depends on the situation and what we both feel will work best for you.

Do I have to sign up for a package? Can I just have one session?

To achieve results, it takes time. I highly recommend committing to 4 sessions. I can however, give you what I call a ‘boost’ session. A single session which allows you to check in with what you are focusing on and boost your momentum in the right direction.  Boost sessions are powerful tools to affirm you are on the right track and should be specified to a single topic to get the most out of our time together. You will walk away with tools and an action plan.

Can I claim your services on my insurance?

I am a member of the ANQ and happy to give you an insurance receipt for individual sessions. These sessions must be paid for and received in advance of claiming the cost. If you would like to check with your insurance provider on their particulars of the percentage you will be reimbursed, my ANQ number is #3577

I am not familiar with some of your services. Can you describe them to me?

Sure! The following are descriptions. If you would like more information, feel free to contact me with your questions.

Yoga & Yoga Therapy

Yoga is an ancient practice, originating from India, which aids in balancing the mind and body.  Hatha Yoga is a physical practice of the discipline, commonly found in North America and is presented in many forms, from flowing movement, to restful restorative postures.

Yoga Therapy takes the practices of yoga and applies them to optimal total body health and wellness.  The therapist tailors the physical and philosophical aspects of the practice to the needs of the client, allowing for exploration, discovery and transformation, physically, mentally and spiritually.  Yoga therapy is a powerful tool to help in times of dis-ease, or to deepen an understanding of how to care for yourself.

E.L.D.O.A. (Etirements Longitudinaux avec Decoaptation Oesteo-Articulaire)

ELDOAs (also known as L.O.A.D.S - Logitudinal Osetoarticular Decoaptation Stretches) are precise postures designed to strengthen and stretch the connective tissue of the spine. Each posture creates an eccentric fascial stretch aimed at a specific vertebral level, creating space between the joint articulation. They are safe and effective, resulting in relief from acute and chronic back pain, improved athletic ability, postural self-normalization and a calming affect of the nervous system. A true workout and meditation for your spine all wrapped into one class!

Thai Massage / Restorative Bodywork

Thai Massage is an ancient healing art, which works to release energetic blockages, through gentle assisted stretching, and a multitude of deep static and rhythmic massage techniques.  The massage typically lasts 90 minutes and is performed on a cushioned floor mat, in comfortable clothing.  This dynamic approach to massage, allows you to relax and rejuvenate, as you passively work to help relieve tensions and move towards your optimal health and wellbeing.

Restorative bodywork is a technique to manually release the myo-fascia (a thin, tough, connective tissue that surrounds all your muscles and bones), while in restorative yoga postures.  We focus on identifying movement restrictions, in relation to fascial tension, releasing these holding patterns to expand range of motion and soothing the nervous system, to keep the body from returning to the original pattern.

  • Choose from 60, 75, 90 or 120 minute long massages.
  • Incorporate part of a massage into a yoga or pilates session.
  • Incorporate a mixture of the 2 bodywork techniques.

Meditation is a practice of mindfulness, which cultivates a sense of inner peace and aids in creating a greater awareness of our selves and others.  There are many forms meditation can take.  The most traditional is usually seen as seated silently, with our mind looking inward.  Meditation is a beautiful place for discovery and perspective.  My practice and sharing is influenced by buddhist practices and other creative forms of guided meditations and energetic practices.

Reiki can be described as a relaxation and meditation technique, which promotes both physical and emotional healing.  It has the ability to balance and replenish the body’s energy system.  By clearing energetic blockages, it enables energy to flow more freely from one part of the body to the next, and by replenishing energetically depleted areas, it revitalizes the energy system.

Reiki can:

  • Reduce stress
  • Create a state of relaxation
  • Enhance clarity
  • Boost the immune system
  • Accelerate injury and illness recovery
  • Release emotional blockages
  • Cleanse the body of toxins
  • Increase energy
  • Compliment other healing treatments

As a reiki master and teacher, I provide one - on - one reiki treatments, as well as private or group workshops in all reiki levels.  This way you can treat yourself to a single session or a life time of reiki.

Treatments last approximately 60 minutes in a relaxing and supportive environment.  The client lays fully clothed on a massage table, as they enjoy the treatment.  The therapists’ hands usually hover, slightly, over the body, although, sometimes you may feel a gentle touch.  Generally, clients feel a sense of relaxation and warmth throughout the treatment.  It is not uncommon for emotions to surface.
