This simple breath practice is effective and essential to integrated wellbeing. This practice is perfect to use before bed or in times of stress.
It works in a few ways:
- Breathing in the three dimensions of your torso releases mental and physical tensions allowing you to not only relax, but enhance how your body moves and breathes.
- Elongating the exhalation, in relation to the inhalation, deregulates the nervous system and increases relaxation.
Use this guided breath practice as a meditation, or take the principles you learn to incorporate into your regular breathing. It can be effective and simple as doing one to three conscious relaxation breaths.
May you feel relaxed and breathe easy.
